Wendy Williams Celebrates Night Out in NYC After Passing Psych Evaluation with “Flying Colors”

Wendy Williams is back in the spotlight and looking fabulous while doing it! The former talk show queen was seen leaving Max Tucci’s trendy Tucci restaurant in NoHo on Wednesday night, glowing with excitement.

According to an insider who spoke to Page Six, “She had a super time, she kept writing in her journal, she looked great.” The source also revealed that Wendy was accompanied by her niece, Alex Finnie, and a young man. “Guests inside the restaurant respected her,” they added.

But while the evening may have been a joyful one for Williams, it reportedly landed her niece in hot water.

Trouble After Dinner

According to TMZ, Wendy’s assisted living facility was not thrilled about her night out. The report claims that the facility filed a police complaint after Finnie allegedly violated regulations by taking her famous aunt out to eat.

Apparently, Finnie had been visiting Wendy at the facility when she “evaded staff” and whisked the former Wendy Williams Show host away. It’s unclear what consequences Finnie might face, but the situation is already causing a stir.

“10 Out of 10”—Wendy Passes Psych Evaluation With Ease

Despite the hospital visit, Wendy had nothing to worry about when it came to her mental state. Following a psychiatric evaluation, TMZ reported that she was deemed “alert and oriented” and received a perfect “10 out of 10” score on a “capacity test.”

This evaluation could be a major turning point in Wendy’s ongoing legal battle to regain control of her life. The former daytime TV icon has been fighting to end her guardianship, and these test results are expected to play a crucial role in the case.

Wendy Speaks Out: “My Money Is in the Air”

On Tuesday, Wendy made a rare call-in appearance on Good Day New York, where she did not hold back about her situation. “In order to go to the gym, which is on the third floor, I have to be permitted,” she explained, revealing just how much control her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has over her daily life.

“In terms of how much it costs, it has to be approved by my guardian person. My money is, like, in the air,” Wendy added.

Her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, fired back through her legal team. In a statement to TMZ on Wednesday, Morrissey’s attorney insisted that the claims were “untrue” and “inaccurate,” stating that Wendy is free to call and visit her family whenever she wants.

Despite the drama, Wendy is looking ahead. She’s awaiting a retest for frontotemporal dementia after denying earlier reports that she has the condition, which she was diagnosed with in 2023. With her legal battle gaining momentum and her latest NYC comeback, it looks like Wendy Williams isn’t backing down anytime soon.
