Taylor Swift Concert Attack Was Supposed to Kill “As Many People as Possible”

In a chilling revelation, authorities shared that planned terror attacks were meant to kill “as many people as possible” during the Austrian leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

Two unidentified suspects—17- and 19-year-old Austrians—had been plotting the assault throughout July. The Directorate of State Security and Intelligence Oma Haijawi-Pirchne reported that the older teenager intended to “carry out an attack in the area outside the stadium, killing as many people as possible using the knives or even using the explosive devices he had made.”

Kronen Zeitung, a local news outlet, shared that police raided one of the suspect’s homes where they found a variety of chemicals and substances.

Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported their plans might have been inspired by the militant organization Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State group. The two suspected ISIS terrorists allegedly threatened Swift before these performances, prompting officials to arrest them on August 7.

These attacks were supposed to have transpired during three of Swift’s concerts in Vienna, Austria on August 8, 9, and 10. The shows have since been canceled due to safety and security concerns. Since each performance welcomes around 60,000 concertgoers, nearly 200,000 fans have been impacted.

Director-General for Public Safety in the Ministry of the Interior Franz Ruf posted the cancellation on Instagram. “With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety,” the post read.

Travis Kelce “Very Concerned”

Because of the recent developments, Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce has been reportedly “very concerned.”

A source told Page Six that the Kansas City Chiefs athlete immediately reached out to Swift upon hearing the news. But the 34-year-old has no plans to rush to Europe and be by his beau’s side. The tight end is currently preoccupied with a training camp that is preparing him and his team for the upcoming football season which begins on September 5.

Southport, England Knife Attack

The troubling news comes after another attack during a Taylor Swift-themed event in Southport, England. Just last week, a 17-year-old male allegedly attacked a yoga and dance workshop, leaving three young girls dead and nine injured. Two adults who were trying to protect the children were in critical condition.

Swift conveyed her “shock” through social media while Swifties raised thousands of dollars to help the victims and their families.
