Russell Brand Hires Prince Andrew’s Lawyer To Represent Him Against Sexual Assault Charges

Russell Brand has reportedly enlisted the help and services of Prince Andrew’s “pit bull” lawyer, Andrew Brettler, to fight the sexual assault allegations that he is facing.

The 48-year-old is claiming innocence regarding the rape case filed against him. Last week, he described it as a “painful, hurtful attack.” This led him to hire a Hollywood powerhouse defense attorney.

Attorney Brettler represented the Duke of York in the civil lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre.  She previously sued as a victim of sex trafficking against pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

It’s believed that her case was settled out of court in 2022 in exchange for $12 million with no admission of accountability from Prince Andrew. During the court proceedings, the prince vehemently and unswervingly denied all the charges thrown at him.

Aside from Prince Andrew, Attorney Brettler also represented Armie Hammer who was also accused of rape and inclinations towards cannibalistic fantasies. It was reported that this high-profile lawyer charges clients up to $2,000 per hour.

The lawyer confirmed that he is representing Russell by stating, “I am only aware of one US case against Mr. Brand. I am counsel of record in that action.”

Russell’s case involves a woman known only as “Jane Doe.” She filed a lawsuit in New York’s Supreme Court last November. According to her, Russell assaulted her in the bathroom while they were filming Arthur, a 2011 movie where Russell played the lead role. During the assault, the victim claimed that a crew member stood outside and guarded the door.

Based on the affidavit submitted by Miss Doe, Russell “appeared intoxicated, smelled of alcohol, and was carrying a bottle of vodka on set.” The incident allegedly happened on July 7, 2010. Before the assault, Russell reportedly exposed himself to the cast and crew, a stunt that he has acknowledged and laughed about publicly several times.

The woman is now claiming damages for the assault and trauma she experienced. She also shared that she is afraid to reveal her identity because it could jeopardize her acting career.

A colleague described Attorney Brettler, “People call him a pit bull, but he’s more sophisticated than that. He has a huge brain and will use every weapon in his legal arsenal to defend his clients. Russell Brand is in very good, and very expensive, hands.”

Last week, Russell sat down for an interview with Tucker Carlson, an ex-Fox News host. During their talk, the topic of the sexual allegations against Russell came up. Since the controversial online episode of Dispatches aired, five women have accused the actor of sexual assault, rape, and emotional abuse.

Russell told Tucker, “I reject the allegations in the strongest possible terms. I am aware I have put myself in an extremely vulnerable position by being very, very promiscuous.”

The English comedian was also strongly accused of “bullying and victim shaming” by Lawyer Jordan Merson, one of the alleged victim’s lawyers after he called the sex charges against him hurtful and pitiful.
