Pete Davidson and Madeline Cline Call It Quits After 10 Months
And another one bites the dust. Saturday Night Live (SNL) comedian Pete Davidson adds Outer Banks actress Madeline Cline to his growing list of exes.
After news that they were romantically involved emerged in September 2023, the Hollywood celebs have reportedly called it quits. Davidson, Cline, and their representatives have yet to issue a statement.
Last September, rumors quickly spread that the pair were dating when they spent the night in Las Vegas for Davidson’s standup show. They confirmed speculations a month later by attending an after-party in New York together.
For the most part, Davidson and Cline have carefully kept their relationship under wraps. Cline is particularly protective of her privacy after her split with Outer Banks co-actor Chase Stokes. After they broke up in November 2021, the actress and model appeared overwhelmed by the attention.
“I realized the negative side effects of that while going through the breakup, realizing I had let people in and then felt like I couldn’t get anybody out,” the 26-year-old said at the time. “It just hit me like a freight train.”
According to the star, her only wish was for them to “move on and be happy” but people were forcing her to take sides. “People see the need for sides. There are no sides—there’s no winning or losing in a breakup,” she explained.
Davidson, on the other hand, is puzzled by the public’s interest in his love life. “I’m in my 20s and I dated people,” said the star of Bodies, Bodies, Bodies during an April 2023 podcast. “And for some reason, that is very crazy and interesting to people. I don’t think it’s that interesting.”

Davidson’s love life may not be that interesting to him but a quick glance at who he’s dated reveals a list of some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. The actor had a 9-month relationship with co-star Chase Sui Wonders. He also went out with model Emily Ratajkowski for a few weeks and reality star Kim Kardashian for around 10 months. Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor, whom he dated for about five months, is also on his list of exes.
Let’s not forget comedian Margaret Qualley, Underworld actress Kate Beckinsale, pop vocalist Ariana Grande, and scriptwriter Cazzie David.
David and Davidson began dating in 2016 and had a notably longer 2.5-year relationship. David later confessed that her beau’s mental issues had begun to wear her down. She shared how Davidson would engage in self-harm and threaten suicide over small matters. Combined with his volatile temperament, David eventually realized she had to get out.
“I was too mentally exhausted to do anything besides emotionally recover from the chaos of the week before,” David wrote in her book, No One Asked for This.
