Kim Kardashian Says Kris Jenner Once Tricked Her Into A “Date” She Thought Was A Job Interview

Kim Kardashian just revealed that one of her most awkward dates ever was thanks to her mom, Kris Jenner and it wasn’t even supposed to be a date. While chatting with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on September 24, the 44-year-old SKIMS founder said Kris once tricked her into going on a blind date with a TV executive. The problem? Kim thought she was walking into a job interview.

“She told me it was a job interview, but she told him it was a date,” Kim said, at the memory. “And so I pull up and I go and I’m talking about what I want to do, and I even had a résumé on me!”

Fallon immediately cracked up, covering his face as Kim added, “I don’t think she thought I’d be so prepared to bring a résumé.”

It only took about five minutes for Kim to realize what was really happening. “I was like, ‘I’m going to kill you,’” she joked, glancing toward Kris, who was sitting in the audience during the taping.

The supposed “interview” never blossomed into romance. “I don’t think he ever knew until years and years later,” the SKIMS founder said.

Kris then jumped in with her own memory of the night, teasing that the man, an Emmy-winning exec, once asked if “bringing his Emmy” would help seal the deal. Khloé Kardashian, seated next to their mom, immediately rolled her eyes and declared, “That’s a red flag.”

Kris insisted he was only joking, but even she admitted it wasn’t going to work out. When Fallon asked if she was still friends with the mystery man, she laughed and pleaded the fifth.

Kim said she’d still trust her mom’s dating advice in the future, but Khloé quickly opted out of matchmaking duties, saying, “Oh, I’m not a good picker.” Kim agreed, replying with a laugh, “Same, babe.”

Of course, Kim’s love life has been a headline for decades. She’s been married three times: to music producer Damon Thomas, NBA player Kris Humphries and rapper Kanye West, with whom she shares North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Since her divorce from Kanye in 2021, she has been linked to Pete Davidson and Odell Beckham Jr.

Despite all the ups and downs, Kim still believes in romance. In a 2023 podcast chat, she admitted she’ll “always be a hopeless romantic,” adding, “I definitely love sharing my life with someone.”
