Justin Bieber Responds To Mom Pattie’s Viral Prayer Post
Justin Bieber’s mom is praying hard for him and Justin is taking it all in stride. On September 22, Pattie Mallette, 50, shared an emotional post on Instagram, pouring her heart out in prayer for her 31-year-old son. Weeks after the post, the singer wrote, “Only thing I need healing from is my rolled pinky toe from playing ping pong.”
Pattie’s September post featured a series of photos of Justin. Alongside the photos, she wrote, “I declare freedom, strength, clarity, and healing over you Justin. Every chain of fear, confusion, heaviness, and pain — be broken in Jesus’ name.”
She went on to ask the Holy Spirit to “surround him with truth, light, and protection” and “heal every wound in his heart, mind, and body.”
“Fill him to overflowing with Your love and comfort. Continue to raise him up as a voice for Your Kingdom, unshaken and on fire for You Lord. Silence every voice that doesn’t come from You, and let his life be a bold witness of Your power, love, and healing grace. Say amen if you agree.”
Her post ended with a message to her followers: “Say amen if you agree.”
It is unclear what exactly inspired Pattie’s heartfelt message. Just two days before Pattie’s post, Justin had also shared a spiritual message of his own on Instagram.
Reflecting on how his faith keeps him grounded, he wrote, “Jesus teaches that our effort is simply a response to being gifted life and forgiveness. Jesus becomes the prize. And growth becomes something you desire because of the grace we have received.”
Faith has always played a big part in Justin’s life both personally and professionally. His new album, Swag II, released on September 5, features tracks like Story of God and Everything Hallelujah. In the music video for Speed Demon, he even wears a shirt that reads “Pray for Me.”
Meanwhile, things are going well at home for Justin and his wife, Hailey Baldwin Bieber. The couple recently celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary on September 13, just weeks after marking their son Jack Blues’ first birthday in August.
As a source told PEOPLE, “They’ve had challenges like anyone else, but they always come back to the same thing: They truly believe they are soulmates.”
