Joe Jonas Says Co-Parenting With Sophie Turner Is A “Dream Come True”
Joe Jonas is stepping into his fatherhood era with honesty, gratitude — and a whole lot of heart. During a stop on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose Live Tour in Florida on May 23, the 35-year-old singer got candid about life after divorce and how he’s navigating co-parenting with his ex-wife, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner.
In a video clip that’s now making rounds on TikTok, Joe was nothing but positive about their current relationship. “I have a beautiful co-parenting relationship that I’m really grateful for,” he said. “Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true.”
Joe and Sophie, who split in 2023 after four years of marriage, are parents to two young daughters — Willa, born in 2020, and Delphine, born in 2022. Although they’ve kept their girls off social media and away from the spotlight, Joe often shares glimpses of his deep love for them, especially during special moments. At the Jonas Brothers’ Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in January 2023, he sweetly said, “To my little ones at home, Daddy loves you to the moon and back.”
Despite their rocky start post-divorce, which included a custody lawsuit filed by Sophie over the children’s travel arrangements, both parents have worked hard to find common ground. A temporary agreement in late 2023 allowed the girls to split time between England and the U.S. By early 2024, Sophie had dropped her claims, and their parenting arrangement was formally approved in the U.K.
Now, things seem to be smoother than ever. “They turned things around from the initial messy custody battle. They are friendly and great co-parents now,” a source told PEOPLE.
At an Art Basel event in Miami last December, Joe reflected on the joys of fatherhood. “As a parent myself, I’m also reliving childhood again through my kids’ eyes, which is just the best feeling,” he said. He even shared a little self-reflection, adding, “I’m really making sure that I’m able to have a lot of fun. This is so amazing that we get the opportunity to be on this earth and do what we get to do.”
