Jennifer Lopez Buys $18M Home After Divorce From Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez is starting fresh with a new home after finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck. The actress and singer, 55, has purchased an $18 million home near Los Angeles, marking a new chapter in her life following the end of her marriage.

Jennifer and Ben officially finalized their divorce on January 6, 2025. She initially filed on August 20, their second wedding anniversary, citing their separation date as April 26, 2024. Around that same time, she quietly began searching for a new home, according to a source. In the spring of 2024, she was spotted touring a private Beverly Hills property with A-list neighbors, but she ultimately chose a different location.

Meanwhile, the former couple’s shared Beverly Hills home is still on the market for $68 million. They first listed it off-market in June 2024, a year after purchasing it for just under $61 million. With no immediate buyers, they publicly put it up for sale in July. Ben has since moved on with his own $20.5 million Los Angeles home, which he purchased on July 24.

A source told PEOPLE that Ben’s new five-bedroom house is “family-friendly but could easily be transformed into a bachelor pad.” The upscale neighborhood is known for attracting entertainment industry elites but has a more refined atmosphere rather than a trendy scene.

The same day Ben closed on his new home, Jennifer finalized the sale of her New York City duplex for $23 million. The stunning four-bedroom, 7.5-bath Manhattan condo had been on and off the market for seven years before finding a buyer.

Jennifer and Ben’s love story has been a rollercoaster spanning over two decades. They first met in 2002 on the set of Gigli and quickly became one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples. They got engaged but called it off in 2004, each moving on to separate marriages — Jennifer with Marc Anthony, with whom she shares twins Max and Emme, and Ben with Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.

Years later, fate brought them back together. The two rekindled their romance in 2021 and officially tied the knot in July 2022. However, after months of reported marital struggles and living apart, Jennifer filed for divorce on August 20, 2024 — ironically, their second wedding anniversary. Just 20 weeks later, their divorce was finalized.
