Dressed casually in a cozy sweater, jeans, sneakers, and sunglasses, Garner was seen taking a call while out and about. But just before driving off, she rolled down her car window, extending her arm to hand a care package to a homeless man holding a Santa Claus hat.
The man, dressed in tattered red clothing and a large coat, was visibly moved by the sweet gesture, flashing a big smile at the star. It’s clear that Jennifer’s small act of kindness made a big impact.
Garner Steps Up Amid California Wildfires
This isn’t the first time the Alias alum has shown her compassion. Garner has been actively helping those affected by the devastating California wildfires, which have claimed the lives of at least 27 people and displaced thousands more.
Earlier this month, she volunteered alongside renowned chef José Andrés and his nonprofit, World Central Kitchen, feeding the firefighters risking their lives to battle the blazes. Photos of the actress with Andrés showed her serving meals to first responders and victims.
But the wildfires hit even closer to home for Garner. In an emotional interview with MSNBC on January 10, she revealed that she lost a friend in the disaster.
“She didn’t get out in time,” Garner said, fighting back tears. “My heart bleeds for my friends. I mean, I can think of 100 families, and there are 5,000 homes lost.”

Garner’s generosity extends beyond strangers. She also came to the aid of her ex-husband, Ben Affleck. The Yes Day star, who shares three kids with Affleck from their 13-year marriage, briefly opened the doors of her home to him after he was forced to evacuate his rental house in Pacific Palisades due to the wildfires.
Garner and Affleck, who divorced in 2018, have maintained a friendly co-parenting relationship, and her willingness to help her ex during a crisis highlights just how big her heart is.
