Harrison Ford Says He’d “Love” to Work With Calista Flockhart—So What’s Stopping Them?

Hollywood power couple Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart have been together for over two decades, but fans have noticed one glaring omission in their love story—they’ve never shared the screen! The Indiana Jones legend is finally revealing why.
“That’s just the circumstantial reality where we haven’t been offered something where we’d work together,” the 82-year-old explained. While it’s shocking that the two haven’t found a project to collaborate on, Ford insists that it’s not by choice. He added that he’d “love to work” with his wife given the opportunity.
Despite not acting alongside her, Ford has been keeping busy with his role as Dr. Paul Rhoades on Apple TV+’s Shrinking, a series that has earned him rave reviews. Starring alongside Jason Segel, Michael Urie, Jessica Williams, Ted McGinley, and Christa Miller, Ford says the project has been a dream. “This is the best job I’ve ever had,” he praised. “I live half an hour away. I go home and I sleep in my own bed. I’m in the same town as my wife and children and I’m doing really smart, intelligent storytelling with incredibly talented people.”
Shrinking, which premiered in 2023, follows Segel’s character, a grieving therapist who takes an unconventional approach to helping his patients. Ford plays a senior therapist battling Parkinson’s disease—a role he says has been an “emotional exercise.”
“That’s the joy of this job for me. You can allow your emotions to drive the bus, but you have to guide it,” Ford explained. “You have to tell it where it’s going and make sure the people that need to get off, get off of it at the right time.”
As for his acting process? Ford keeps it simple. “I don’t get into character. It’s not a process. It’s not a trick,” he admitted. “I don’t know when I’m going into a scene whether I’m going to laugh or cry. I don’t know what I’m going to do.”
While he loves his work, Ford always makes time for his family. The pair met at the 2002 Golden Globes and married in 2010. Ford later adopted her son, Liam, now 23.
Their marriage has stood the test of time in Hollywood. Flockhart recently opened up about their relationship. “We’ve had our ups, we’ve had downs like everybody else—mostly ups, which is good—and we just stay together,” she told The New York Times in January 2024. “He’s the person that I want to call when something happens. That knee-jerk thing where I have to call Harrison.”
No movie or TV show has brought them together yet, but maybe Hollywood just hasn’t written the right love story for Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart.
