Fans Are Litt Up Over Rick Hoffman’s Return to the Suits Universe

Rick Hoffman is officially stepping back into his iconic role as Louis Litt in NBC’s new spinoff, Suits LA. The fan-favorite character, known for his sharp wit, hilarious outbursts, unexpected moments of vulnerability, and signature catchphrase—“You Just Got Litt Up”—will make a special appearance later this season according to Deadline’s exclusive report. And if the show secures a second season, there’s a good chance we’ll see even more of him.

A Suits Reunion… Sort Of

Hoffman isn’t the only familiar face making a comeback. Gabriel Macht, aka Harvey Specter, is also stepping into the Suits LA world. But before fans get their hopes up for a legendary Harvey-Louis reunion, sources confirm that their episodes won’t overlap. That means no Harvey roasting Louis, no classic banter, and—tragically—no new showdowns between the two.

Still, the return of both actors is enough to send Suits stans into a frenzy, especially after the original series’ unexpected resurgence on Netflix last year.

What’s Suits LA About?

In case you missed it, Suits LA follows Ted Black (played by Arrow star Stephen Amell), a former federal prosecutor who’s swapped New York for Los Angeles’ elite. His firm is in crisis and he must embrace the kind of work he’s always despised to survive.

The star-studded cast also includes Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, Troy Winbush, Bryan Greenberg, Azita Ghanizada, Rachelle Goulding, Alice Lee, and Maggie Grace.

New episodes air Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with the upcoming episode, He Knew, promising plenty of drama. This week, Ted and Kevin (Winbush) face shocking revelations about Lester’s (Kevin Weisman) motive for murder, while Erica (Davis) and Leah (Lee) navigate an unusual celebrity client request. Meanwhile, in a flashback, Ted drags his old friend Stuart (McDermitt) into a mob case. Expect guest appearances from Brian Baumgartner and Patton Oswalt!

Suits LA Is Winning Over Viewers

NBC is seeing some serious success with Suits LA as ratings continue to climb. Viewership nearly doubled in its second week, while its 18 to 49 demographic skyrocketed by more than 200%. Clearly, the Suits fanbase is showing up in full force!

The spinoff comes from Suits creator Aaron Korsh, who serves as executive producer alongside Doug Liman, David Bartis, Anton Cropper, Gene Klein, Rick Muirragui, Genevieve Sparling, and Jon Cowan. The show is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Rick Hoffman’s Busy Career

Hoffman has been keeping busy since his original Suits days, starring in Showtime’s Billions alongside Paul Giamatti and Damien Lewis. He also recently hit the big screen in Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving with Patrick Dempsey. His film credits include Hostel, Blood Work, and Battleship. On TV, he’s appeared in Philly, The Bernie Mac Show, Samantha Who?, and Ballers.

As Suits LA brings Hoffman back into the courtroom, fans can’t wait to see how Louis Litt will shake things up in the West Coast legal scene.
