Amy Schumer Jokes About Selling $14M Home: “Sorry Baby”

Amy Schumer is saying goodbye to her Brooklyn townhouse, but she knows the $14 million price tag might raise some eyebrows. The comedian and actress took to Instagram on March 25 to share the news, calling the neighborhood the “best hood ever” and highlighting its prime location — just a block from Brooklyn Bridge Park and close to all the schools. But she couldn’t resist poking fun at the steep asking price, ending her post with, “14m sorry baby.”

The 43-year-old star, her husband Chris Fischer, and their 5-year-old son Gene have spent three years in the historic home, which was famously featured in the 1987 movie Moonstruck. With four bedrooms and a rare-for-New-York-City perk — two parking spots — it’s a gem in the heart of Brooklyn. However, the family is now heading back to Manhattan to be closer to Gene’s school, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Amy isn’t new to big real estate moves. She previously sold her “dream Manhattan apartment” in May 2023. That property, originally listed for $15 million in 2022, eventually sold for around $13 million. The sale was a major milestone for the actress, who has openly shared her humble beginnings, recalling how she once had to share a bed with her mother due to financial struggles.

While she’s making waves in real estate, Amy has also been candid about her personal health journey. She recently opened up about her experience using weight loss medications, including Ozempic and Mounjaro. During a January 2025 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, she revealed that Ozempic helped her lose 30 pounds but left her feeling “bedridden,” constantly vomiting and drained of energy.

Her experience with Mounjaro, however, has been much better. In March, she let fans know she’s doing well on the medication, saying, “I’m having a really good experience, so I wanted to keep it real with you about that.”

Ozempic, originally intended to treat type 2 diabetes, has become a hot topic in Hollywood and beyond, as more people turn to it for weight loss — even when they don’t have a medical need.
