AGT Winner Hopes Zack Effron Will Play Him in a Biopic
Richard Goodall, the winner of America’s Got Talent 2024 wishes that a biopic is made on his rags-to-riches life story. In an exclusive interview, Goodall revealed that winning the talent show has been a life-changing experience for him and his wife Angela. He currently works as a janitor in a school in Indiana but nurtures hopes of having a career as a singer.
Winning the show has not only won him public praise and accolades from the judges, but it also implies Goodall will soon get his hands on the $1 million prize money. That’s the kind of money that can change a man’s life forever, admits the AGT winner. He says he can leave his job as a janitor and start his life afresh.
He also wishes that Hollywood makes a biopic on his inspiring journey from a school janitor to an AGT singing sensation. According to him, Zac Effron would be the best person to play him on the big screen, admitting that it “would be cool” if that happened. His wife admitted she thinks Demi Moore would be a great choice to portray her in the movie.
According to her, Goodall’s life has been a real roller coaster with trials and tribulations that she thinks the public will be surprised to learn about. Of the many ups and downs, the death of his first wife Patty in 2021, followed by an unexpected fairytale romance with her remains two major events in Goodall’s life.
She even mentioned that her husband would “probably have to put on a little weight though.” She further added, “It sounds like fun and I’m willing to take on anything.”
Goodall also revealed that he would continue to collaborate with the judges on AGT, especially Simon Cowell. He wants the TV personality to oversee his career development after winning them over with a rendition of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’.
According to the AGT winner, Simon Cowell has “done so much for not just the music community, but he is a man to not only look up to, but a man who’s changed people’s lives, not just with music, but with these TV shows.”
He’s not the only AGT winner to expect a biopic to be made on his life. In two earlier instances, Britain’s Got Talent’s Paul Potts and Susan Boyle had a biopic and documentary made on their lives.
The infamous to famous stories are not only inspiring for the fans of the show but continue to give to many others who wish to make it big someday.
