Adin Ross Gives Trump a Cybertruck, Violating Federal Law in the Process

Remember Adin Ross, the content creator known for courting controversy?

Well, he’s in the news. Again.

And this time, it’s not for streaming NBA 2K games.

The 23-year-old internet celebrity brought Donald Trump in for a live-streamed interview Monday, during which he presented the 45th U.S. President with a brand new Tesla Cybertruck. A gold Rolex also made its way into the uber-luxurious gift stack.

“I think it’s incredible,” Trump exclaimed as he checked out the electric vehicle parked at his luxury resort, Mar-a-Lago. The event was broadcast on Kick, a live-streaming platform that has been grabbing headlines for quite a while.

The car had been customized on each side, with a now-famous photo depicting the moment after Trump’s attempted assassination at a rally in Pennsylvania

On the hood? The slogan, “Make America Great Again.”

According to Tesla’s website, the base version of the Cybertruck costs around $60,990, and that’s where Mr.Ross may have landed Trump in hot water.

We’re talking campaign finance law, people!

Under the Federal Election Campaign Act, contributions are capped at $3,300.

Brendan Fischer, a frequent commentator on the subject, said, “I would expect that once Trump gets off the livestream and talks to his lawyers, he’ll be advised that he can’t accept these gifts and will have to turn them down or give them to charity.”

He also told Rolling Stone: “The evidence suggests that Ross made or sought to make an illegal contribution, so he could face civil penalties. But it wouldn’t surprise me if Trump were to reject the gift and Ross were to plead ignorance of the law, in which case I suspect that the FEC wouldn’t spend too much time on the matter.”

Others suspect gifts aren’t the takeaway Trump was looking for anyway.

After all, Adin Ross gave him a far more valuable gift: even more exposure to a far-right audience. “I wanted to make this dream happen because there’s a lot of people that are first-time voters watching today. And I want to make it very clear to everybody that you’re a human being,” Ross says at the start of the stream.

Sporting a MAGA hat, Ross also asked viewers to vote for the former President, who took the liberty to trash-talk his opponents every chance he got.

During the hour-and-a-half appearance, Trump shared his views of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a left-wing politician. “She’s got a spark that’s pretty amazing.”

He also claims that he warned Rep. Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.) about her rapid-fire succession, but the former U.S. Representative has debunked it on X

“The truth is, I… never heard from him,” he wrote. “Typical Trump, this is pure BS. I refused to shake his hand, I never took a dime — let alone a piece of advice. I could smell him from a mile away.”
