Adam Sandler’s Wife and Teenage Daughter Play Cameo Roles in Kinda Pregnant Trailer
Comedy legend Adam Sandler has once again shown that he’s all about family. The 58-year-old brought his wife Jackie Sandler and teenage daughter Sunny Sandler into the spotlight with hilarious cameos in the upcoming Netflix comedy Kinda Pregnant, produced by Adam himself and starring Amy Schumer.
In the movie, Amy plays Lainy, a Brooklyn English teacher who fakes a pregnancy after she gets jealous of her best friend’s baby bump. Her motivation? Why, to slyly enjoy the perks of being an expectant mother of course!
In the trailer, Amy asks, “Did you ever tell, like, such a big lie, you don’t know how to get out of it?”
The cameos start with a subway scene where 16-year-old Sunny compliments Schumer’s character. “You look so beautiful,” she gushes, as Schumer hilariously responds, “Yeah, it’s probably because I’m pregnant.”
Meanwhile, Jackie takes on the role of a yoga instructor who helps Lainy after a very ungraceful fall during a pose gone wrong. The scene is comedy gold, with Jackie’s exasperated concern adding a dose of relatability to the chaos.
The trailer, which premiered on January 7, showcases the signature mix of awkward humor and heartfelt moments that Amy is known for. Speaking about the film, Amy shared, “Our society loves to make women feel like they are failing. This story shows women as human beings who are trying to make choices that are right for them and having fun together along the way.”
As for Adam’s family, this isn’t their first brush with fame. Sunny and her sister Sadie have previously appeared in their dad’s projects, including the hit Netflix comedy You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, where they played Sandler’s on-screen daughters. They’ve also had roles in Grown Ups, Hubie Halloween, and more, cementing their place in Sandler’s cinematic world.
With a star-studded cast featuring Jillian Bell, Will Forte, Brianne Howey, Damon Wayans Jr., and Alex Moffat, Kinda Pregnant promises to deliver plenty of laughs and family charm, courtesy of the Sandlers.
Adding to the excitement is director Tyler Spindel, whose knack for comedy shines through. Known for Netflix hits like Father of the Year, The Wrong Missy, and The Out-Laws, as well as the 2020 comedy special Rob Schneider: Asian Momma, Mexican Kids, Tyler’s track record guarantees a laugh-filled viewing experience.
