Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo Mark 11 Years of Marriage
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo are still head over heels 11 years in and still going strong. On July 19, Behati marked their 11th wedding anniversary with a playful and heartfelt Instagram post that gave fans a peek into the couple’s world. In a series of candid photos, the 37-year-old model and mom of three shared silly snapshots of herself and Adam making goofy faces, kissing on what looked like a yacht, and cruising around in a car like two teens in love.
She captioned the post, “My person for life!!! 11 years 💍 today! @adamlevine deep sea baby…”
Adam, 46, returned the love with a sweet tribute of his own. Sharing a photo of Behati chilling on a porch with a beer in hand and a dog on her lap, he wrote simply, “Happy anniversary to my favorite person in the world.”
Their love story goes back to 2012 when a mutual friend introduced them through email. Adam needed a model who could pull off some action scenes for a music video, and the friend thought Behati was perfect. Even though she didn’t end up doing the video, the emails kept flowing. “It was such a natural correspondence that we kind of fell in love over email,” Behati later said in an interview.
They started dating, briefly broke up in May 2013, but quickly got engaged in July. By the next summer, they were saying “I do” at Flora’s Field Kitchen in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Jonah Hill, one of Adam’s best friends, even officiated their wedding.
To celebrate their first anniversary in 2015, the couple returned to their wedding spot, and Adam serenaded Behati with Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It On.
Soon after, their family began to grow. Their daughter Dusty Rose was born in 2016, followed by Gio Grace in 2018. In January 2023, they welcomed their third child; a baby boy.
In 2022, their relationship faced public scrutiny when Instagram model Sumner Stroh accused Adam of being inappropriate. Adam admitted to crossing a line in a flirtatious conversation, though he denied having an affair. “I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner,” he said at the time. But the couple weathered the storm. A source told PEOPLE that Adam and Behati were committed to making things work.
