A $500K NDA for a Baptism? Blac Chyna and Tyga Issue Steep Request to Guests
Blac Chyna and Tyga have reportedly forced their guests, including loved ones, to sign an incredible and shocking $500,000 non-disclosure agreement for their son, King Cairo’s, baptism.
Based on the details that Page Six revealed, invited family and friends were made to sign the NDA ahead of the religious gathering. Based on the legally binding contract, guests are prohibited from taking still or moving pictures and sharing anything on social media.
The document also stipulates that the ex-couple may “inspect and confiscate all smart devices like cellphones, Apple watches, and tablets.”
The NDA, filed earlier this week, also prohibits invited guests from “making any disparaging statements about the 34-year-old rapper, oral or written.” Anyone who violates the non-disclosure contract will be made to pay a six-figure penalty.
After hearing the news, netizens criticized the ex-couple’s steep requirements, many of them taking to X to voice their disgust. According to a quote from The News, one user wrote, “What the heck went down there for there to be a NDA.” Meanwhile, another observer commented, “I wouldn’t even go.”
King Cairo is 11 years old at the time of his baptism. The event comes months after Blac Chyna underwent the same Christian sacrament of initiation into the Catholic Church.
The ceremony saw Blac Chyna and Tyga finally working together after years of fighting over financial support and custody of their son. It has been reported that the two already have an agreement to have joint physical and legal custody of their pre-teen.
Additionally, both parents will also be making decisions regarding King’s education, health, and general welfare.
With the two reaching an agreement, the arrangement is that King will stay with his mom from Fridays to Mondays and return to his father for the remainder of the week. This new setup will no longer require Tyga to pay child support to Blac Chyna.
The court also mandated each parent to maintain their integrity and not to speak disparagingly about each other in front of their son. After committing to become better parents, Blac Chyna and Tyga must also enroll in a program that will help them monitor their conversations about co-parenting.
Chyna and Tyga had been dating for three years after meeting on the set of Tyga’s music video, “Rack City,” in 2011. The two welcomed King Cairo Stevenson one year later and they were even engaged for a time. Unfortunately, in 2014, the two decided to call it quits.
The divorce turned ugly and bitter, with Chyna requesting full reimbursement for all the money she spent on the custody battle. The issue of child support also made it more difficult for the ex-couple to come up with a reasonable and fair agreement.
It was reported that in October this year, Blac Chyna resorted to selling her personal belongings like shoes, clothes, and bags so she could stay afloat and finance the expensive court proceedings that have, so far, already cost her about $178,000.
She admitted then that she could no longer continue fighting for King Cairo unless Tyga helped her financially.
