50 Cent Sells Controversial Diddy Documentary to Netflix After “Intense” Bidding War

50 Cent has been hyping up his highly anticipated documentary about Diddy’s sex assault allegations for a hot minute. Now, we’ve learned it’s been sold.
“We’re told there was a massive bidding war over the doc, which was produced through 50’s G-Unit Film and Television Studios, with multiple networks and all of the streaming platforms attempting to land the series,” TMZ shared.
Ultimately, Netflix secured the rights from the “In Da Club” rapper.
While it’s unclear when the documentary will be released, it’s expected to be sooner rather than later.
The documentary focuses on the horrendous allegations of abuse and misconduct against the American rapper and record producer, all of which he has denied.
Diddy’s lawyer even branded them “baseless” and “sickening.”
However, now that CNN has released the footage of the 2016 altercation between Diddy and his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, it has led to even more intense media scrutiny for the entertainment mogul.
“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” Cassier’s lawyer shared.
Her husband, Alex Fine, also responded to the video, writing, “Men who hit women aren’t men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men.”
“As men, violence against women shouldn’t be inevitable, check your brothers, your friends, and your family. Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives should feel protected and loved. Hold the women in your life with the utmost regard. Men who hurt women hate women,” he wrote in an open letter posted on IG.
While the LA District Attorney’s Office labeled it “extremely disturbing and difficult to watch,” it’s evident they can’t charge him because the alleged crime has exceeded its statute of limitations.
But that doesn’t mean he’s going to get away scot-free.
Diddy took to Instagram to apologize just two days after the footage of the attack was leaked, claiming that his “behavior on that video is inexcusable.”
“I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now,” he continued.
Not long after he took stock of his vices, he was hit with another lawsuit on Tuesday. It detailed scandalous allegations by model Crystal McKinney.
McKinney has alleged that she met the disgraced mogul at Cipriani Downtown in NYC, where he “made a very public display of coming on to [her] in a sexually suggestive manner.” He apparently invited her to his studio and plied her with alcohol and marijuana, which made her “very intoxicated.” She claimed that Puffy then forced her to “perform oral sex on him.”
She also said that she started getting less work after that, claiming the “No Way Out” hitmaker likely “blackballed” her after the incident.
McKinney shared she “knew she had a moral obligation to speak up” after seeing the video, adding she’s seeking “justice for herself and for any of other Combs’ victims.”
When 50 Cent took to Instagram to confirm the news, he stated “if more victims keep coming out I’m gonna need more episodes.” Well, let’s see how that turns out!
