Inside Tom Holland and Zendaya’s Spider-Man 4 Script Read

Tom Holland recently shared exciting news about his experience reading the Spider-Man 4 script alongside his girlfriend Zendaya, sparking enthusiasm among fans. On the Rich Roll podcast, the 28-year-old revealed, “We have a creative and we have a pitch and a draft, which is excellent. It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job.” 

Holland and Zendaya went through the script together, with the Spider-Man actor describing the experience as energizing: “Zendaya and I sat down and read it together, and we at times were bouncing around the living room.”

Holland’s commitment to Peter Parker’s character is well-known. He emphasized that any future Spider-Man movies would have to live up to fans’ expectations. “I feel very protective over Spider-Man,” he shared. “I won’t make another one for the sake of making another one. It will have to be worth the while of the character.” 

Though he hasn’t officially confirmed his return for the fourth installment, Holland’s affection for the franchise and his character remains strong.

Holland also highlighted the challenges of fitting Spider-Man 4 into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). “With Marvel, your film is a small cog in a large machine,” he explained. 

The timeline needs to work seamlessly within the MCU, adding complexity to the production process, but Holland remains optimistic. He expressed confidence in the team behind the film, calling the task “a tall order but definitely achievable with the people we have working on it now.”

The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his work on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Although cast details are still under wraps, fans are eager to see Holland and Zendaya return as Peter Parker and MJ. With such a passionate cast and crew, Spider-Man 4 is already generating excitement even before production begins.

Zendaya and Tom Holland’s romance began on the set of Spider-Man, but their relationship timeline remained a mystery until paparazzi snapped them kissing in 2021. Recently, Zendaya hinted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that they may have started dating earlier, recalling a spin class they attended together with her mother. Fans were quick to speculate that their bond might have formed as early as 2016.

In a July 2023 interview, the English actor admitted that he considers his relationship with Zendaya “sacred” and he protects it by maintaining their privacy. “I don’t talk about it,” he told Jay Shetty during a podcast. “I try my best to keep it as private as possible.”
