Adam Sandler on the Swift-Kelce Romance: ‘Look How Good They Are Together!’
Adam Sandler recently appeared on Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s hit podcast New Heights. He is on a promotional tour for his new Netflix special, Adam Sandler: Love You.
The 57-year-old comedian gushed to Travis about how much his Swiftie family loves his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift: “You being together, that photo of when you first started dating, my family was like, ‘Yes! Look how good they are together! He’s a gentleman! And she’s having so much fun with him!’”
In a Zoom call with the brothers and hosts, Sandler continued: “Any time Taylor is laughing with you, my whole f****** family is high-fiving.”
Sandler shares two daughters, Sadie (17) and Sonny (15), with his wife, Jackie. Turns out they’re all avid Swifties: “She means so much to our house. The kids were little and we were listening to Taylor Swift. It was one of the first times that you listen to every song on the record. When I was a kid, The Beatles you did that with, maybe Elton John. Every tune. They knew every word.”
Beyond his household’s appreciation for all things Swift, Sandler is an unabashed Swiftie: “I love listening to her in the car. I love what she has to say. Every message. Every melody. The production. What she meant to young girls, what she means to women, what she means to guys doing the right thing in life.”
Earlier this year, Sandler appeared on Conan O’Brien’s Needs A Friend podcast and confessed that Taylor Swift is one of the few superstars he still gets nervous around: “[Because of] what she means to my kids, I get it a little f****** jumpy. I don’t want to blow it for my kids—I talk a little too loud. I don’t act as cool as I can.”
Get Excited for Happy Gilmore 2
Kelce, 34, is also involved in the much anticipated Happy Gilmore 2, the sequel to Sandler’s iconic sports comedy film released in 1996. A source recently told The Sun: “Travis is excited about it, he is taking the opportunity very seriously, and he wants to do great. They have been talking with Sandler almost every week about it since the end of June approximately.”
In the podcast, Sandler expressed his excitement about Kelce’s role in the film: “Travis, we’re gonna have fun. Because the scene you’re doing is with so many great golfers, it’s gonna be amazing. You’re gonna be funny as hell.”
