Kim Kardashian Seeks Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker
Kim Kardashian has allegedly become the target of a stalker. And hear this: it’s the same person who terrorized her American Horror Story co-star Emma Roberts back in May.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the reality TV star is asking a judge to grant a restraining order against Melvin Jeffrey Conley. Kim has claimed that she got a call from Emma Roberts who warned her that a man who had broken into her home had expressed a desire to make contact with the Skims founder and her children.
The We’re the Millers actress details an encounter with the alleged stalker who broke into her home while she was away and called her from her own landline.
Roberts says she missed the call, but “Assuming a possible family member had entered the residence for an unknown reason, [Roberts] called her home number, at which time an unknown male answered the call.” The stalker called her by name and allegedly claimed that she had given him permission to enter and stay at her home.
That’s “absolutely not the case,” the actress claims in the court documents.
Conley allegedly showed up at Kris Jenner’s house the next day. He attempted to gain entry by telling security that he thought he was at the KKW Fragrance founder’s home for a scheduled meeting. He also claimed he was Kim’s “long-time” manager—and wait for it—a basketball player with the Toronto Raptors.
Well, his attempts to contact the social media superstar finally bore fruit last month when he arrived at her Malibu home. However, he was confronted by security by the time he made it to the perimeter fence. He also reportedly told guards he was going to jump the fence, but they managed to thwart his efforts.
In her filing, Kim notes how troubling his trespassing was, considering how difficult it was to locate her Malibu home since its address hasn’t been publicized.
This has caused her “worry, concern, and severe emotional distress.”
A hearing date has been set for August 30 according to court documents.
As for Roberts, she obtained a 5-year restraining order against the 32-year-old man, which also extends to her three-year-old son Rhodes.
He is banned from coming within 100 yards of the actress and is ordered not to “contact [Roberts or her son], either directly or indirectly, in any way, including, but not limited to, in person, by telephone in writing, by public or private mail, by interoffice mail, by email, by text message, by fax, or by other electronic means.”
