Christopher Reeve’s Son, Will, To Appear in Superman 2025 Reboot

Christopher Reeve’s Son, Will, To Appear in Superman 2025 Reboot

Raring to see the newest Superman movie? Keep your eyes peeled for an exciting cameo by the son of the original man of steel. Christopher Reeve’s son, Will Reeve, recently confirmed that he has a cameo appearance in the newest DC superhero film.

Will told People how the opportunity arose. “I know the folks making the film, and they’ve been so kind to me and my family, and I had a free day so we made it [happen],” Will narrated.

But one secret that the media hasn’t been able to get out of him is the role he plays. “I don’t know what I’m allowed to say,” he told the news outlet.

However, the 32-year-old did share that it will be an extremely brief appearance. “Blink and you’ll miss it,” he hinted.

An NBC news correspondent, Will shared that he was nervous on set: “It was a really great experience; they were super friendly; it was quick, easy…I was actually more nervous doing that than I am whenever I’m on TV for my normal job cuz there was so many people around and I had to memorize one line, but still!”

Are we going to see more of Will on the big screen? Apparently, he doesn’t think he has “what it takes to be an actor.”

But that’s okay because Will’s real job—strangely enough— is rather similar to Clark Kent’s 9-to-5 on The Daily Planet. If you’ll recall, the series of Superman movies that launched the franchise had Christopher Reeve playing the journalist alter ego of the most popular superhero in history.

Christopher Reeve’s Unforgettable Performance

In 1978, lead Superman actor Christopher Reeve helped make the DC superhero one of the most famous and enduring fictional characters of all time. Three more films with him in it were released in 1981, 1983, and 1987.

Though many movies about Superman have been produced since then, a number of fans still argue that it was Christopher Reeve who set the precedent.

The latest Superman production will hit theaters on July 11, 2025, 12 years since The Man of Steel. Newcomer David Cornswet will don the red cape while Rachel Brosnahan from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will be the gutsy and outspoken Lois Lane.

What happened to Henry Cavill who played Superman in the last four movies?

According to scriptwriter James Gunn, the motion picture takes place during Kal-El’s earlier years. “…our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman’s life, so the character will not be played by Henry Cavill. But we just had a great meeting with Henry and we’re big fans and we talked about a number of exciting possibilities to work together in the future,” he shared in 2022.
