Is Jamie Foxx Amnesiac? Star Claims He Doesn’t Remember 20 Days From 2023

Actor Jamie Foxx shared in a TikTok video posted on July 1 that he doesn’t recall 20 days of his life from 2023 when he experienced a headache. Could he be suffering from some sort of health condition?
You might recall that the 56-year-old was admitted to a hospital in April 2023 due to a “medical complication,” the specifics of which haven’t been disclosed to the public.
All we know is Foxx wasn’t taken to the hospital in an emergency vehicle and he wasn’t on the set of Back in Action, the Netflix production he was filming at the time, when it happened.
His recent TikTok video offers some hints on what the award-winning actor experienced. The 33-second clip shows the celebrity talking to people who aren’t in the frame. He tells them he suffered a “bad headache” on April 11 of last year. The star remembers asking a pal for some Advil and nothing after. “I was gone for 20 days,” he could be heard saying.
The footage shows Foxx explaining how he later learned that his sister and daughter had brought him to a doctor for a shot of cortisone. A different doctor informed him that there was something “going up on there,” Fox narrates as he points to his head.
Whatever is ailing him, the Texas native seems determined to keep it under wraps. In his social media clip, he says, “I won’t say it on camera.”
While Foxx’s health issue may be relatively new, his proclivity for privacy certainly isn’t. Born as Eric Marlon Bishop, he has always been very protective of his personal life. After going through his “medical complication,” Foxx intentionally left the limelight.
By July 2023, he resurfaced briefly, but only to explain that he wasn’t giving the media more details. According to him, he didn’t want people “to see me like that.”
He elaborated, “I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show. I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through,” he said on Instagram. Foxx added that the experience was like going “to hell and back.”
The next month, the singer/comedian gave an update, reassuring fans that he was feeling better. “You’re lookin’ at a man who is thankful… finally startin’ to feel like myself…” he posted in August 2023. “It’s been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light,” he shared.
