Emma Roberts Praises Kim Kardashian’s Acting Debut On American Horror Story

Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian’s friendship has blossomed in an unexpected place — on the set of American Horror Story: Delicate. During her appearance on the iHeartPodcast Table for Two, hosted by Bruce Bozzi on June 25, Emma had high praise for the SKIMS founder.

Emma, 33, shared how Ryan Murphy, the creator of AHS, called her with the idea of having Kardashian play her publicist. Genius was her reaction. She was pleasantly surprised by Kim’s preparation and dedication. “She is one of the most prepared actors I’ve worked with. I’ve come to work sometimes and people don’t know their lines at all, but she knew every single line,” she said.

The Scream Queens alum highlighted Kim’s work ethic and on-set confidence. “She also will just look you in the eye and do it. To be that open and vulnerable — and I get embarrassed sometimes and I’ve been acting for 20 years — she’s super professional, confident,” she said.

“And just the way that she carries herself, she doesn’t have a huge entourage, she’s very normal. And that was also really inspiring to see,” he added.

Emma was inspired by Kim’s down-to-earth attitude.

Reflecting on their shared history, Emma recalled shopping at the Kardashian sisters’ store, DASH, in Calabasas before Keeping Up With The Kardashians even aired.

“I used to buy jeans from them at DASH in Calabasas. This is right before they did their show and I had a show on Nickelodeon and thought it was so cool that I could afford to buy seven jeans at DASH from working,” she stated.

“At the end of the day, we’re just two girls from Calabasas,” she continued.

Kim also shared her experience on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in April, expressing the contrast between filming AHS and her reality show. “I called my sisters and I go, ‘Guys. You — not to say you’d ever want to get into acting — but you are so lucky you can wake up and just, we can sit in bed and film, and you don’t have to get up, hair and makeup, film at your own hours, like there is no schedule,'” she recalled.
