Julia Fox Wants To Share Her Fame With Son Valentino, Says “He Needs To Own It”

Julia Fox, famous for her breakout role in Uncut Gems, wants her son to experience and embrace fame.
Yep—you read it right. Unlike most celebrities who are keeping their kids out of the spotlight, the star has said that she will not be doing her son a “disservice.”
She expressed her sentiments in an interview with Variety, published on April 29. “It’s like I have this very highly coveted thing [and] I want to share that with my son,” Fox declared.
“We need him to be a nepo baby, and he needs to own it too. He can’t be like, ‘I’m not really a nepo baby’. He needs to be like, ‘Yes I’m a nepo baby, and what?’” she explained.
And the star is already doing something about it. The headline-making Italian-American actress took her 2021-born son to the Diesel show during the Milan Fashion Week. A natural in front of the camera, the toddler is all set to appear in the attention-grabbing music video of her upcoming single “Down the Drain.”
Despite speculations to the contrary, Fox has a calm demeanor and a down-to-earth personality, an InStyle journalist spills.
In the article, Fox talks about her new living arrangements which attracted trolls on Instagram. The actress is currently sharing a home in Harmlem with her best friend and boyfriend.
She calls her man, “a really good example of masculinity.” He is “definitely the best role model I could have ever chosen for Valentino because I don’t want him to grow up aggressively macho like some other men in his vicinity are,” she continued.
“The family unit in this country is really disintegrating so we have to find new ways to remedy that. Chosen family is the best. It’s better than biological family,” Fox concluded.
The star also mentioned about how she maintains normalcy in her son’s life. According to the trendsetting actress, she doesn’t depend on a nanny. “I do everything: the drop-off, the pickup, the lunches, the feeding, the shower, the bath, all of it, the doctor’s appointments, the play dates. I’m doing most of it,” she confessed.
The provocateur was quick to add that she has the support of “all the grandparents, the aunts, the uncles” in New York. “So if I have to go do something, it’s very easy for me to call upon somebody. And they’re all very eager to take care of him because he’s just the sweetest, most fun little ray of light,” the 34-year-old said of her her 3-year-old.
Fox is set to host and executive produce OMG Fashun with Legendary judge Law Roach—the man behind the styling of Céline Dion and Zendaya.
“She’s fucking fearless. She’s doing a really good job of making a moment into a lifetime, and that’s because she’s authentically who she is,” the stylist said.
The eight-episode season promises to make “fashion’s so-called gatekeepers squirm.”
The show, which challenges conventional fashion standards, is already being aired by Bravo. Fox says that her “hope is that our viewers will get inspired by what we create on the show and recreate the looks at home using all their old junk they have lying around!”
