Aoki Lee Simmons Splits With Much Older Boyfriend After 5-Day Romance

Twenty-one-year-old Aoki Lee Simmons was seen sharing an intimate kiss with her much older boyfriend, 65-year-old Vittorio Assaf, during their beachside holiday at St. Barts. However, sources report that the lovebirds have gone their separate ways.

Aoki’s father, Russell Simmons, wasn’t fazed when steamy shots of them smooching grabbed headlines. While the couple’s age gap raised many eyebrows, Russell—who is just two years older than Vittorio—claimed, “I’m not gonna kick and scream about her choices.” 

“All I can do is offer my advice and unconditional love,” he continued.

Russell’s support has been heavily criticized by the public, prompting some to mention past sexual allegations made against him before his move to Bali. “This is your fault, Russell. You shouldn’t be enabling this. The man is your age and you see nothing wrong!” accused one netizen.

Aoki’s mother, Kimora Lee Simmons, expressed unhappiness at her daughter’s choice of boyfriend. She said, “was worried about Aoki being involved with Vittorio due to what she went through herself.”

The 48-year-old Baby Phat founder supposedly reacted to the viral news of her daughter’s romance by sharing an IG video depicting a mother panda forcefully separating her baby cub with her teeth, captioning it, “On my last nerve right now!”

But were they really dating? 

After Aoki shared the PDA-packed vacation photos, a member of their inner circle disclosed, “Aoki and Vittorio are spending time together and enjoying each others’ company.” 

Insiders close to the situation say she isn’t planning on dating the millionaire restaurateur for much longer after their vacation. “It’s 100% done. They’re absolutely not dating,” the source said.

Before their split, the successful model repeatedly referred to Vittorio as her “boyfriend” during an IG Live video she shared from their romantic getaway. 

She declared, “I’m the happiest person to ever be happy right now,” as she took followers on a tour of the restaurateur’s property in the island country. Given recent news, it’s become evident that the Teen Vogue cover girl has had a change of heart.

She allegedly said on Monday “Of course, I’m not with him. I was never with him.” 

The Harvard graduate was previously in the spotlight for calling out her father for his abusive behavior. 

Seemingly responding to his daughter’s post, the music mogul shared an olive branch and a picture of his girls, Ming and Aoki, while pleading with them to move forward. 

“God is testing you a little bit, it’s ok, be strong. . . they are called growing pains . . . as you know, we grow through adversity and struggle,” he wrote at the time.
