Alyssa Milano Speaks Up After Setting up a GoFundMe for Her Son’s Baseball Trip

Alyssa Milano has been strongly criticized for the GoFundMe campaign she created. Now, the Charmed actress has broken her silence.

The actress was heavily bashed for pushing the fundraiser she created for her son’s baseball team trip. On the GoFundMe page, she had asked for $10,000. Since then, the target amount has been exceeded and more than 400 people donated. The funds raised reached more than $13,000.

The 51-year-old multi-millionaire defended her actions after her Instagram account was flooded with criticism. Even the account of her son, 12-year-old Milo, became a target for the horrible comments.

Alyssa started by sharing two screenshots of her son responding to the trolls, where the pre-teen reminded the bashers of his age. The actress then asked them to leave her children out of it.

Alyssa added that she cannot afford to pay for Milo’s entire team, including their families.

Last week, the actress was seen driving her $200,000 electric Porsche Taycan with her son, unbothered by all the trolls and online bashing. Alyssa pointed out that despite being a multimillionaire, she is no different from other parents.

In her lengthy caption, Alyssa wrote, “Every parent raises money for their child’s sports teams, and many do so through GoFundMe. As much as I’d love to pay the entire team and their families for travel, transportation, hotel, food and beverage, uniforms, trading pins, and all the things teams do for this kind of trip—I cannot afford to do so.”

As an afterthought, she added, “Maybe someday.”

Alyssa stated that she will always be on the losing end no matter what she does, saying, “Also, if I did pay for everyone, my trolls would find something else to be hurtful about. Regardless of how you feel about me, going to my hardworking 12-year-old son’s Instagram page and leaving these messages is so horrid.”

She then defended Milo by writing, “Leave the kids alone. Let them play baseball.”

Concluding her post and referencing the fundraiser that caused all the ruckus, Alyssa stated, “If you’d like to donate to help the team’s families—we appreciate it—the link is in his bio.”

The GoFundMe fundraiser surpassed its target a week ago. The Melrose Place alum set up the online campaign under her married name, Alyssa Bugliari. Last January 25, she shared the fundraising on X, asking her 3.4 million followers for help.

Some of the backlash directed towards Alyssa was left on her son’s page. Milo responded to some of the comments and the pre-teen was ready to defend his mom.

In response to one of the harsher comments, Milo wrote, “You do realize I’m only 12, and I love my mom. My mom is the greatest human of all time. She does everything for everyone.”

To another nasty comment, the pre-teen replied, “Please get off my page. I’m only 12.”

Interestingly, the bio on Milo’s Instagram account states that his parents manage his social media account.
