Travis Kelce Cheers On Taylor Swift’s Upcoming Album At Super Bowl Media Event, Says It Will “Shake Up The World”
Travis Kelce, the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, couldn’t hide his excitement when discussing his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s upcoming 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, during a Super Bowl media event in Las Vegas. In a conversation with reporters, Travis praised Taylor’s new project, calling it a game changer and expressing his eagerness for its release.
“I have heard some of it, yes. And it is unbelievable. I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops,” Travis told reporters.
Taylor’s surprise announcement of the new album came during her acceptance speech at the 2024 Grammys, where she won the award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights. She expressed her gratitude to her fans and revealed her secret plan.
“I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out on April 19,” she announced, sending her devoted fan base into a frenzy.
Travis recognizes Taylor’s remarkable achievements, saying, “She’s unbelievable. She’s re-writing the history books herself,” he praised, referring to her fourth album of the year win at the Grammys.
“I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with hardware, too,” he added.
The tracklist for The Tortured Poets Department was unveiled on Monday, featuring 16 tracks and collaborations with artists like Post Malone and Florence + The Machine, along with a bonus song titled The Manuscript. Fans can already preorder the album on her website, which will be available in various editions, including CD, cassette, vinyl, and digital formats.
Travis and Taylor made their relationship public in October 2023, and the Love Story hitmaker has been there to support the professional athlete during his NFL games. Notably, she was present to congratulate him after the Kansas City Chiefs secured their spot in Super Bowl LVIII by defeating the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game last month.
