LL Cool J Shares Fatherly Wisdom On Love, Reveals Telltale Sign His Daughters Were Seeing The Wrong Man

In a heartwarming interview with the iconic rapper LL Cool J, the artist opened up about family, fatherhood, and the trials of meeting your daughter’s boyfriend.

As a proud father of four – Najee, Italia, Samaria, and Nina – LL Cool J has experienced some nerve-racking moments when it comes to his daughters’ love lives. In a tell-all conversation, he revealed how he could relate to the awkward situations portrayed in his latest Coors Light Super Bowl commercial.

“Yeah, I’ve had some moments where some boyfriends have given me awkward handshakes and stuff like that. You know what I’m saying? Don’t quite get it yet. They can’t figure out how they want to…you know what I mean? And I’ve seen the bottom lip with the tremor,” he stated.

In LL Cool J’s view, that tremor lip is a clear sign that it might be time for a boyfriend to reconsider his choice. “I’m saying that’s a giveaway that you might want to rethink that choice a little bit. All that tremor lip and all that. When we see tremor lip, how are you going to handle the world if you tremor lip with me?” he pointed out.

He continued, “You want to be a little more solid than that. You know what I’m saying? But that’s just my personal opinion.”

In the heartwarming Coors Light commercial, LL Cool J steps in to save a young couple from an awkward encounter during a family football game. The tension escalates as the boyfriend realizes he’s wearing the opposing team’s jersey, but LL Cool J brings everyone together with a Coors Light and a smile.

When it comes to raising his daughters, LL Cool J has always been an advocate for nurturing their self-esteem and encouraging their dreams. He believes in instilling confidence and empowering his children to believe in themselves.

During an episode of Oprah’s Master Class, he said, “All while they were growing up, I might catch my daughter while she’s coming out of her room on the way to a soccer game and I just grab her and say, ‘You know you can do anything you put your mind to. You know you’re beautiful. You know you’re special.'”

In 2020, during a conversation with Steve Harvey, LL Cool J spoke about his youngest daughter Nina’s pursuit of a musical career. He expressed his support but emphasized the importance of hard work and determination.

“My youngest daughter Nina, she’s a singer … she really has that gene, and she loves it. I’m going to support her, but she has to make it. Daddy will help, but you gotta make it. What I am not going to do to my children is ruin their lives by giving them everything they should work for,” he stated.
